The varieties cultivated are Merlot, especially favored by the calcareus and clay soil, and Cabernet-Sauvignon.
The operations of defoliation, thinning and bounches selection will help the grapes to have a perfect maturation.
In the best vintages these grapes will be blended with the best Montepulciano of the farm to make an elegant ad full-body wine that will be able to evolve in wood barrels: Portese wine.
